The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunar calendar (in September or October). Mid-Autumn Festival 2020 is on 1 October.

AN UNPRECEDENTED VESAK BUT A HAPPY ONE, NONETHELESS
When I started writing my message for Vesak Day this year, it wasn’t easy. This is an unprecedented Vesak – we are unable to go to temples or celebrate with our loved ones.
I almost wrote my message along with those subdued themes. Then I thought about the meaning of Vesak. It’s the celebration of the Birth, Enlightenment, and the Parinibbana of the Buddha.
It is a joyous occasion.

COVID-19 PPE Donation fund
In this Phase 2, Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia will support this Fund raising drive. On this note, we truly need your support to procure 10,000 head covers and 20,000 leg covers at an estimated cost of RM44,000.
Dhamma talks by Bhante Dhammavuddho
Many of the audios and videos found on this page are the result of late Luangpor Dhammavuddho’s thousands of hours of study and practice of the Buddha’s Words found in the Sutta and Vinaya.
Luangpor Dhammavuddho has enlivened these Suttas in his talks and made the Dhamma strikingly accessible. The Buddha’s teachings found in the Suttas are invaluable, and no amount of gold can come close to its worth!
The gems are found here, especially in the Sutta talks. Herein lies the heartwood, so to speak.
