EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND 2025

On the 28 March 2025, a nasty earth quake at the strength of 7.7 magnitude hit Myanmar and Thailand. Buildings collapsed into heaps of debris, trapping many live underneath. Roads were destroyed and many villages are not accessible.

As of press time there are 1700 casualties from Myanmar and 10 casualties from Thailand, not including those trapped under the rubble and those critically injured. Temples and personal properties were destroyed.

As such, TBCM acting on the advice of the two monastic advisors, Ven Saranankara and Ven Dhammapala, will organize a Blessings for Victims of the recent earth quake and launch a Fund-raising campaign for the victims.

TBCM will work with other National Buddhist societies to raise funds and seek advice from the Myanmar Embassy on the disbursement of the aid.
