Special Message fromChief Ven B. Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha TheraIt gives me great joy to congratulate the Theravada Buddhist organizations in Malaysia on the formation of the Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia.

The core purpose of the formation of the Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia is to unite and share the expertise, resources and experience among the member organizations so that we will be able to achieve our vision to study, practice and propagate the noble teachings of the Buddha.

The Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia should play a pivotal role in uniting the Theravada Buddhist organizations in Malaysia with the purpose to propagate the Buddha’s noble message of peace. Emphasis should be place on Buddhist education so that the members and devotees of the member organizations will have the confidence to study, practice, share and build a strong Buddhist community in Malaysia.

We live at a time when the noble message of peace of the Buddha is much needed to raise the consciousness of mankind to bring global peace. We can achieve this ideal vision only by being united and focused in our purpose to study, practice and share the Buddha’s message with the rest of the world.

May the blessings of the Noble Triple Gem be upon the newly formed Executive Committee for the term 2012/2014.

I would like to advise all the member organizations to give their full cooperation, encouragement and support to the Executive Committee so that they will be able to accomplish their duties to achieve the objectives of the Theravada Buddhist Council of Malaysia.
