New Year’s Message

Nonetheless, it is worth remembering that ‘different’ does not have to result in ‘differences’.‘Radiate boundless love towards the entire world — above, below, and across — unhindered, without ill will, without enmity.’These wise words by our Teacher, found in the discourse of Loving Kindness (Metta Sutta), must remain our guiding light as we strive forward into the New Year.This has served us well this year, as we kept our pride in check while making a mindful effort to listen and work together without ill will or preconceived biases.Let us continue our focus on cooperating, collaborating and communicating together with the aim of making a difference for others.Combined, our different knowledge, experience and skills will have a bigger and more positive impact than our individual differences.Come 2018, let us focus on our ties that bind us.I wish everyone a very Happy New Year. May you and your loved ones be well and happy.
